Punta Venado, en la Riviera Maya, Quintana Roo, México, se desarrolla en un terreno de 233 hectáreas frente al Caribe Mexicano. El proyecto parte de un concepto inspirador: descubrir lo desconocido, tomando como referencia los ojos de agua y cenotes que emergen en el sitio y que dan origen a una geografía única. Sobre este paisaje, el plan maestro busca crear un desarrollo que integre turismo, vivienda y naturaleza en equilibrio.
El programa contempla un club de golf, torres residenciales, viviendas unifamiliares y un sector exclusivo de residencias high-end. A ello se suman hoteles de distintas escalas, desde resorts de lujo hasta un hotel de casi 300 llaves, así como base camps, una marina y un beach club en la punta del terreno. Esta diversidad responde a las múltiples dinámicas del turismo contemporáneo, que exige experiencias distintas pero conectadas por una misma narrativa territorial.
La cercanía con ecosistemas de manglares y corales plantea una oportunidad y una responsabilidad. La arquitectura busca apoyarse en la riqueza ambiental, privilegiando los espacios abiertos, la ventilación natural y materiales que dialoguen con el entorno. El objetivo es que cada intervención se perciba como parte de un sistema mayor, donde el agua, la tierra y el mar dictan el carácter del desarrollo. En este cruce entre territorio y programa, Punta Venado se proyecta como un destino que invita a explorar, habitar y redescubrir la Riviera Maya desde nuevas perspectivas.
Punta Venado, in the Riviera Maya, Quintana Roo, Mexico, unfolds across 233 hectares facing the Mexican Caribbean. The project begins with an evocative concept: discovering the unknown, inspired by the cenotes and freshwater springs that define the site’s geography. Building upon this foundation, the master plan seeks to integrate tourism, housing, and nature in a balanced coexistence.
The program includes a golf club, residential towers, single-family homes, and an exclusive high-end residential area. It further incorporates hotels of different scales, ranging from luxury resorts to a nearly 300-key hotel, along with base camps, a marina, and a beach club at the project’s edge. This diversity addresses the multiple dynamics of contemporary tourism, offering varied experiences while maintaining a unified territorial narrative.
The proximity to mangrove and coral ecosystems is both an opportunity and a responsibility. Architecture here aims to leverage environmental richness, prioritizing open-air spaces, natural ventilation, and materials in dialogue with the landscape. Each intervention is envisioned as part of a larger system, where water, land, and sea define the character of the development. In this interplay between territory and program, Punta Venado emerges as a destination that invites exploration, habitation, and the rediscovery of the Riviera Maya from fresh perspectives.
